PlayStation: Sony, THQ samplers lead week that also revels in Greed Corp; Game Arts' Grandia becomes PS Classic.
Sony has a number a few interesting additions to the PlayStation Network this week, like new games and discounts on past releases.The most demanded content,however,is likely to be a free demo for the highly awaited God of War III along with a sampler of THQ's Darksiders.
The God of War III trial is the same that has been previously parceled with the God of War Collection for the PlayStation 3 and District 9 Blu-ray release. As Kratos, players explore the underworld, legions of undead soldiers and mythological beasts trying to stop him. The free sampler for Darksiders lets you play through the entire first dungeon of the game, the Twilight Cathedral, worth about 90 minutes of gameplay.
W! Games' Greed Corp represents the only new-game addition to the PSN this week. Available for $9.99, the game aims to test the military combat skills of up to four players, having to go against eachother, in a hexagonal playfield. As collapsing hexagons reshape the battle, players will have to constantly rethink combat strategy , destroying land to prevent the strategical success of opponents but also having to use it for their own safety.
On the classic game front, PlayStation offers us Game Arts' acclaimed original role-playing game Grandia, which is now available for $9.99. Released in 1999, the game won the critics with a great storyline and combat system.
For the PSP, Sony has gives us a discount on its place-and-time-bending puzzler echoshift, enabling you to buy it for $14.99. You can also get GTI Club Supermini Festa, an arcade-style racer for $29.99.
