Sims 3 Ambitions full expansion in June

Second full expansion to the third installment of EA`s PC 'hit" adds good and evil paths for the Sim to follow; iPhone spin-off in late 2010.


Just like every PC Sims game, The Sims 3 was a big hit. As big as "best-selling game of 2009, having sold 4.5 million units" after it`s June 2, 2009 launch, claimed Electronic Arts in January this year.


As if 4.5 million is not a big number, Sims 3's sold units are but just a small part out of the 125 million units The Sims sold in it`s 10 year legacy . Most of those units were add-on and expansion packs, which EA usually, every few months, released. Today, a new full expansion has been announced, The Sims 3 Ambitions--developed by the internal Sims Studio.


Clearly stated by the title, the Sims 3 Ambitions will let players set either a high or low goal for their Sim. A stylist who can either exquisitely coif or chop a neighbor`s hair, a doctor who can heal the sick or experiment on them (mwhahahahaha), a tattoo artist who can beautify or desecrate customers' bodies, and a firefighter who can save a burning home or chop the interior into kindling.


No matter if you`re good or evil, your actions and path chosen will affect the way the Sims' community react concerning you, according to Sims Studio manager Scott Evans. "Players actions at work now directly affect their lives, community, and neighbors, and become an extremely important part of how the game is played," he explained.


Ambitions will ship this June, seven months after the first, World Adventures, met the market. The iPhone spin-off of Ambitions will arrive later in the year.
